On September 12, Adera will be helping 174 students enter Trinity School. Last year we discovered that their former school was not providing the high standards we expect for our students, so we decided to make a change. We were fortunate to discover Negestie, the owner/director of Trinity, located within the very community Adera serves. She was willing to partner with Adera in providing an atmosphere of academic for our students.
Adera has agreed to provide the school with additional teachers in the areas of English, character, and computer skills. The school added six additional classrooms to lower the teacher-to-student ratio from 1:50 to 1:30. Adera’s goal is to eventually lower that ratio to 1:25.
Adera has also partnered with teachers in the USA who are helping to provide ongoing developmental instruction for the teachers and faculty. Our goal is to continue pouring into Trinity’s staff so that they can reach their full potential.
Adera will also host monthly parenting meetings to keep the parents, informed, involved, and inspired. Many of our parents struggle with illiteracy and we want to help them change the narrative for the next generation.
We have also been blessed by Maureen Maloof and Uniforms for Hope who donated children’s new uniforms for the fall. One of our faithful Adera donors used her birthday to inspire her friends to provide new school shoes for the students. Adera continues to focus on our three E’s: Education, Economics, and Eternity, each of which provides our students, and their families help and true hope. We recognize that we can’t do everything for everyone, but we can do something for someone. And we treasure your ongoing love and support in making that mission possible. We couldn’t do it without you.
