Adera’s primary objective is to strengthen the family unit in the nation of Ethiopia.

Who We Are

The Adera Foundation shares the Gospel in both word and deed, transforming the lives of the poor with help and true hope.

What We Do

Adera’s primary objective is to strengthen the family unit in the nation of Ethiopia. Poverty, disease, poor education, high unemployment, and a variety of other socioeconomic factors are destroying the family unit in Ethiopia. Our desire is to facilitate programs to meet basic needs and to promote self-sustainability among the at-risk families. One key area of emphasis is assisting mothers with young children. By targeting this extremely vulnerable segment of the Ethiopian population, we hope to provide loving parents with the training and business opportunities needed to foster long-term success. Our feeding and preschool programs provide the children in these families with the assistance they need not only to survive but thrive even in difficult circumstances. Adera works closely with government entities and village councils in order to ensure that our work is locally supported and meets all national and regional regulatory standards.

Our Beliefs

Adera Foundation defines “Christian” as one who believes that Jesus Christ is the true son of God who became a man in order to satisfy the penalty for man’s sin. He was born of a virgin, was crucified on the cross, and was resurrected from the dead.

Our Core Values

Family Preservation

Adera strives to keep parents and children united in the same home. By empowering and equipping parents to provide and care for their children, we hope to assist families in raising their children in a healthy and safe environment.
James 1:27 “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”

Discipleship

Adera engages people in transformative relationships. Transformative relationships consistently demonstrate the truth of the whole gospel and teach obedience to Jesus as revealed through the Bible. We believe that a person is only saved by grace through faith in Jesus, and this is our one true hope.
Matt 28:18-20 “And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Adera staff and volunteers are ambassadors of Christ above all else.

Integrity

Adera staff and volunteers are ambassadors of Christ above all else. We desire to teach truth in the way we live and conduct ourselves in all parts of the world. We will strive to be above reproach in all our activities and follow through completely on our commitments.
Dan 6:4 “Then the high officials and the satraps sought to find a ground for complaint against Daniel with regard to the kingdom, but they could find no ground for complaint or any fault, because he was faithful, and no error or fault was found in him.”

Adera joins hands with churches, organizations, and individuals around the world who want to share in our mission to bring help and true hope.

Partnerships

Adera joins hands with churches, organizations, and individuals around the world who want to share in our mission to bring help and true hope. We love to assist people in using their gifts for the glory of God. We want to empower Christians in the countries where we serve as well as the U.S. to participate in God’s Kingdom work.
Phil 1:3-5 “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.”

Adera is choosing to make a difference in the lives of the next generation and live out the words of Matthew 25:40

“I tell you the truth, whatever you did for the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me…”
