Eternity

While committed to providing educational and economic help, Adera also desires to provide true hope by connecting families to the local church and equipping the local church to effectively share the Gospel.

Through our Rural Pastor Training, we train local church leaders in evangelism and discipleship. Also, Adera employs a spiritual liaison to connect our families and students to the local church. This spiritual liaison, Selam, is a gift from God.

Selam is often referred to as the “Mother Teresa of Korah.” She tells Bible stories to our preschoolers at the daycare, teaches at the local kindergarten, and runs an after-school club for 125 students focused on building godly character. She reaches out to our parents and teaches them how to praise their children with affirmation instead of criticism. She is a constant source of encouragement and motivation for our staff in Addis Ababa as well as our families.

Through the local church and the work of our staff in Addis Ababa, the hearts of many are being touched by the Gospel, bringing hope for eternity to those who were hopeless.
