Food Counts

Monthly, Adera feeds students, children, staff, and families throughout our programs:

  • 210 meals/day for daycare children
  • 30 meals/day for Adera Academy
  • 238 meals/day for students in private schools
  • 345 meals/month for our moms’, dads’, and couples’ dinners
  • 214 monthly bags of teff and oil for Adera families — $6,420/month

In total, Adera prepares 8,585 meals a month—that’s over 103,000 meals a year, not including special opportunities.
Adera knows that a child cannot grow, a student cannot study, and a parent cannot work when they are hungry. Monthly, Adera provides teff and oil for the daycare and kindergarten families to bring help and true hope.
“The teff and oil contribution is not a handout, but the result of each mom’s faithful participation in the savings program. They earn it with dignity.”

Each Adera student attending private school receives a fresh, carefully packed meal in their lunchbox, lovingly prepared by the Adera staff. A group of dedicated moms deliver these lunches daily to the various schools. Adera’s goal is never to replace the parent, but to partner with them—walking alongside each family to ensure their child’s daily nutritional needs are met. We stand with parents in pursuit of their children’s success.
