All around the nation, Advocates are stepping forward to spread the story and the work of Adera. Beth uses her love for people to advocate for families in Ethiopia. She stages her own events where she sells Adera’s jewelry while sharing the story of Adera’s Bead Moms who make this jewelry.
Your special occasion can make a difference! If you or a loved one are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, wedding, or any other momentous occasion, consider using this opportunity to bless families and children through Adera Foundation.
A young girl requested that all of the guests at her birthday party bring a donation for Adera in place of a gift. At the party they read about the Adera story and learned about Ethiopia.
Whether in a classroom, an afterschool program, or a sunday school class, invite the story of Adera to impact the hearts and minds of young people and adults by giving them a glimpse into the lives of families in Ethiopia. For small children, this could entail reading the Adera picture book, Be Strong, Yordanos!, locating Ethiopia on a map, and even showing students how the Adera beads are made and helping them make their own bracelets.
Adera facilitates group travel to Ethiopia so that teams can see first hand the impact programs are having on families and children. We have taken teams of professionals who want to expand their philanthropic work, professors and college students who wish to learn more about income generating activities and non-profit development, and families who simply want to learn and serve together.
